Tropical Dreams Grade Level: 3rd-12th · 2-hour program
Come and discover 12,000 years of South Florida history with your students as you are guided through the museum’s ongoing exhibitions.
Cape Florida Lighthouse Grade Level: 3rd-12th · 2-hour program · Group Size: 60
Change your perspective on South Florida history. Explore the Cape Florida Lighthouse inside and out to gain a better understanding of life in nineteenth century South Florida while learning about the Seminole War attack on the lighthouse and Cape Florida’s importance to the Underground Railroad. Walk the nature trails to see first-hand how the natural environment impacted the lives of those who have lived here.
Miami-Dade County Courthouse Grade Level: 3rd-12th · 2-hour program · Group Size: 60
Experience our justice system first hand as you walk the halls of the historic Miami-Dade County Courthouse with your students. We will explore the ins and outs of our judicial system through a mock trial, the jury selection process and a visit to a legal library.
*One teacher/chaperone per ten students is admitted free. Additional adults: $8 each. Advance registration is required for all programs.
